About Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME)

The department of Mechanical Engineering started since the inception of A.I.T.M. in academic session 2007-08 with intake of 60 students. The intake has been raised from 60 to 120 students with start of classes in second shift in academic session 2010-11. the department have well equipped labs and well laid out Workshop comprising various sections viz Fitting, Sheet Metal, Forging, Welding, Foundry and Machine Tool section.

The department has started M.Tech. (Mech. Engg.) with specialization in Manufacturing Technology and Automation (MTA), who’s demand in the industry as well as in teaching is on rising trend. Recently Welding and Mechatronics labs have been setup to cater to subject specialization of M.Tech., while Metal Cutting Lab work is being done in already existing workshop.

One batch of B.Tech. (ME) has been passed out at end of academic session 2009-10. majority of them have been well placed in industrial sector.

The department have well qualified and experienced teaching faculty and teaching supporting staff.
