The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 2006. The department has excellent infrastructure and competent faculty to provide the ideal technical education to meet the industrial standards. The department treats information technology as a multidisciplinary science that emphasizes the application of computing technologies. Therefore, the department lays emphasis on Web Development, Multimedia technology, Operating Systems, Computer Graphics, database and software engineering & testing, as well as on networking technologies. The Department provides exposure to emerging technologies like DOS, E-Commerce, Data mining & data ware housing.
The research area of the Department is in the field of software testing, data/knowledge based systems like data base systems and data mining, Quantum Computing and computer networking.
We offer intensive exposure to latest technologies with the labs which are equipped with latest computer systems & servers in support to the course structure. |
