Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 2006 with an intake of 60 students in B.Tech (CSE). Since then the department has expended and added different courses like M.Tech, MCA and BCA with increase in intake.

The Department is known for its academic values, student support, and active involvement of the faculty and lab staff in nurturing the students in the right direction towards the path of progress which ultimately will lead them to excellence. It has organized a number of technical events to value add and supplement the theoretical work that the students study as a class activity.

The department has well qualified faculties with a very healthy faculty/Students ratio of 1: 15, for both UG and PG programs. The faculties are a mix of the Senior Faculty, Middle Level and Junior Level. The faculty of the Department leaves no stone unturned for imparting best education. A number of technical and co curricular team of students guided by faculty have been formed in the Department, to plan and organize student's activities i.e. National Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Faculty Development Program, Quiz, Programming Contest and so on.

Students of B.Tech (CSE) program study core subjects like: Digital Electronics, Analysis Design of Algorithm, Microprocessor, O.S, Programming languages, Computer networks, Data Base Systems, System software, Wireless Communication, Digital System Design, Advanced Java, Network Security Management etc.

The Department also offers full time M. Tech. (CSE) with an intake of two units i.e. 40 students. There have been numerous publications by the department in international/national journals/ conferences highlighting the emphasis on research and development.
